REDLab VR Workshop: Bridging Design and Technology

The CED REDLab hosted a Virtual Reality (VR) workshop from October 23rd to 25th, 2023 for students in the College of Environment and Design. Led by lab assistant Jabari Lottie, the workshop introduced basic VR applications in design, spanning from conceptualization to communication.

The goal was to provide students with practical skills in VR technology, which they might not have had the opportunity to acquire through regular coursework. By offering hands-on experience with various VR programs, participants gained insights into how VR can enhance the design and planning process.

The workshop set out to empower students to use VR as a tool for design and communication in a multi-dimensional space. As a result, participants walked away ready to delve into the possibilities VR offers for shaping the future of design.
